My aunt just passed away last week. My cousins and I needed catering services for her funeral dinner and Lanette's came through for us. The entire process was easy and so very professional. Their prices were reasonable and they went above and beyond. Customer service was EXCELLENT!! Our guests loved the food. The crowd pleaser was the Mac and cheese. It was so cheesy and delicious. The green beans were so flavorful and also delicious. On behalf of my family we are so appreciative of your kindness and willingness to help us feed our guests. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I wish I could have taken photos.
They messed up my order which was frustrating but the shrimp was pretty good. I didn't care for the mac n cheese and red beans and rice but I honestly didn't expect to. The cake was delicious,moist and fresh! Overall,I would eat there again. The staff was also super friendly. Customer service took them from 3 stars to 4.
This spot is good. I had the Jumbo Shrimp and Catfish. Both were very good! I will be back!!
This place is the best! Their shrimp is my favorite in the city! Their catfish is awesome too. Very buttery and flavorful! The staff is so hospitable and the owner is truly a kind and welcoming person. Highly recommend this place for cookouts, lunchtime, or getting dinner for the family.
My mom had been craving shrimp for last 2 weeks. When I passed by Lanette's, I thought it was about time to get the shrimp monkey off her back. I called the order of 1/2 lb of large shrimp in and went to pick it up. The first thing I noticed was 3 bottles of hand sanitizer lining the customer counter. As I waited, I watched the food being prepared. This is always a plus for me. I got to see the baby back ribs which looked pretty good. When I called in my order, i declined the french fries. When I saw them I immediately regretted my decision. They were hand-cut, fresh french fries! They looked golden brown and yummy! When I received my order, plus a Jarrito soda, I was pleased. The price was average compared to other places I have visited. The shrimp was perfectly cooked. The only problem that some of them were not crisp. The moisture in the container made them soggy, even though it was vented. I received about 9 large shrimp in the 1/2 lb and was told you get about 6, if they are jumbo. There is on the street parking and it is accessible. According to my mother, I'll be back. Honestly, I won't mind the trip.
